Shipping policy
Orders typically are processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays, and periods of excessive volume) after your order has been confirmed, and provided your order was made before 12pm (EST, Miami). You will receive an order confirmation email upon placing your order, and a second email with your tracking information once your order has been processed by our warehouse.
Ensure that you provide an accurate shipping address where your order can be received. If your order is sent back because of incorrect shipping information, you will be responsible for covering the return and reshipping fees to have your order successfully delivered to you.
If a product is delivered to an incorrect address due to customer error, customer using a temporary address, or failure to verify the correct address, and is not returned to our warehouse, we'll need to charge for a replacement product and additional shipping.

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
How do I check the status of my order?
You can check your order status with the order number from your confirmation and your email address at this link. Once your order has been processed by our warehouse, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its shipping status.
Please allow 24 hours from the time you receive the tracking number for the shipping carrier to show movement on the parcel. If there is no movement after 24 hours of receiving the tracking number, and the tracking status shows “pending” please contact us so we can look into it for you.
If you haven’t received your order within 5 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at support@functionalpatterns.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Returns, and exchanges
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately, in the event that your order arrives damaged in any way. Our team can be reached via email at support@functionalpatterns.com
Please ensure your email includes all of the following information:
- Your Shopify Order Number
- Full Name from order
- Photos of the Damaged Product
- Photos of the packaging the product arrived in
Without all of the above, we will not be able to help. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
Shipping Protection (Route)
We offer optional Shipping Protection (Route) at checkout. This service is provided by Route and is designed to cover eligible orders that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. By keeping Shipping Protection selected at checkout, you agree that any covered shipping‑related issue (including loss, theft, or damage while the order is with the carrier or left at the delivery address) will be handled through a Route claim rather than through our standard Returns and Exchanges process.
If you purchase Shipping Protection:
- Route will work with you to replace or refund your order if it is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, subject to Route’s terms and conditions.

You must submit your claim directly through Route within the timeframes and using the process described in your Route confirmation email.
If you choose not to purchase Shipping Protection:
- You will not have coverage under Route for loss, theft, or damage that occurs after your order has been handed to the carrier or delivered to the address you provided.
- We will still assist you in reviewing tracking information and, where appropriate, supporting carrier investigations; however, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for replacing or refunding orders that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit when Shipping Protection was declined.
- Your statutory rights (including any non‑waivable consumer rights under applicable law) remain unaffected.
Returns & Exchanges for physical products
must be requested within 30 days of purchase & we will address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same brand new condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
- Shipping Protection and delivery issues- If you add Shipping Protection (Route) at checkout, eligible loss, theft, or damage in transit will be handled through a Route claim, and any replacement or refund will be provided in accordance with Route’s terms. If you decline Shipping Protection, we will assist you in reviewing tracking information and contacting the carrier; however, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not assume additional liability for orders that are lost, stolen, or damaged after they have been handed to the carrier or delivered to the address you provided. Your non‑waivable consumer rights under applicable law remain in effect.
- Returned items will be inspected upon receipt & must have no visible signs of wear or use.
- If the returned item is used, damaged, or missing any parts, or is damaged during return shipping because it wasn't packaged correctly, the seller might deduct from the refund to cover the loss in the item's value.
- If product is being returned at no fault to Functional Patterns or shipper, customer will be responsible for any return shipping charges + $10.00 restocking fee & any replacement product shipping charges.
- The eligible refund amount will be calculated based on the price of the products being returned minus any return shipping costs and restocking fees.
- Initial Shipping costs are non-refundable in the case of returns

International Shipping
All products are shipped from our warehouse in the United States. International orders will be subject to additional duties and taxes. Keep a close eye on your email and mobile for any communication received from our delivery partner (FEDEX), since they will be in touch to collect customs and duties payment during the importations process.
By placing an order for international delivery, you agree to comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country and to pay for any customs, duties or taxes that are assessed on your order, including any import duties, levies, taxes, or other costs and expenses associated with importing products you purchase.
Your order may be forfeit In the event that you fail to pay the required customs duties or taxes. In this case, you will be responsible for any costs associated with return shipping and restocking. Original shipping costs are nonrefundable. We are unable to issue a refund for your purchase until we receive the package and confirm that it is in its original condition. No refunds will be offered for orders that are forfeit, abandoned, damaged, unsellable or otherwise unrecoverable.
We cannot predict or control the amount of customs duties and taxes that will be assessed on your order. These fees are determined by the customs agency of your country. If you have any questions about these costs, please contact your local customs agency for more information. Functional Patterns will not be held responsible for any possible delays, costs, duties, and/or taxes that may be applied by customs authorities in the country where delivery is made.
