Less Scapula winging, less pain

"From training in martial arts for years, my body has taken some damage. I noticed I had some big imbalances in my posture from training over the years.

I started by reading the power of posture book, watching FP’s free content on YouTube and doing the online 10 week course functional patterns provides. I was constantly drawn to learning more. I next completed the Human Foundations certification with Pablo Martin. My eyes were opened to how much I didn’t know. So I got to work.

In martial arts, we learn the art and system from an instructor. We practice to work towards perfection, maybe never achieving it. I felt and still feel I needed to continue to invest my time, energy and money into Functional Patterns because who am I to teach myself. Everything I’ve learned from their system has enhanced who I am.

So I reached out to Pablo and asked if he takes on any personal training clients. I was very fortunate that he decided to help me out!

We trained online together for 10 sessions. In those 10 sessions we trained specific to my imbalances and distinctions. I was having low back and neck pain but have none of that anymore. I have enhanced my balance for kicks and knees. I have even gained arches in my feet that were formerly flat! I personally find training online tough, but Pablo makes it a lot easier in the way he communicates. I believe one of the biggest benefits from the training, past the obvious physical changes, would be that I move better and feel better.
